Honesty I work with sales representatives on a daily basis and I had representative purchase equipment on the customer’s behalf to supersede policy. Instead of telling the customer that they could not receive the equipment for free, the sales representative ate the cost. I caught wind of this and advised the representative he either stay honest with the customer or tell the truth or I would go to his superior with this information. The sales representative told the customer and rapport with the rep and the customer was established. By discounting the equipment and advising of the situation both parities were satisfied. Communication is another key ingredient in the decision making process. In my organization, communication is used in many methods to accomplish tasks. Communication is used to promote sharing of information and as a means to service our customers. Personally, I am careful in my communications as to make sure I am clear and concise in the information I provide, as to not come off harsh. Communication for me, come through as facial expressions.
