As I have looked through
the online rEsources available to University of Phoenix students, I was impressed at how much information is available. I am a new student and have had my share of questions as I get back into school. One of the first rEsources that I looked at was the University Library. This online library has a massive database of articles, periodicals, books, company information, and has been organized for easy access. Tutorials and other documents help explain how to best make use of the library for your research. Once you have done your research, you are most likely going to be writing papers. The Center for Writing Excellence is where you will be heading next. Since writing skills are essential for your university studies, and very important as you further your career. Some of the rEsources that are available include WritePoint, Tutor Review and many others. These rEsources are there to teach and improve your writing skills. During your course of study, Learning Teams are used. The Learning Team Toolkit provides information on setting up teams, team charters, working with team conflicts and as we will now discuss the value of Learning Teams.
The Value of Learning Teams
As I begin my studies at the University of Phoenix, I began to see the importance and usefulness of Learning Teams. Each team is made up of working professionals that bring to the team past career experiences, ideas and views of business concepts that one individual may not possess. I believe I will learn as much from my team members as I will from the professor and assignments. In my own work experience, I have worked individually and with teams. I have seen how teams are more efficient and promote the growth of all team members as well as the company. Learning Teams will help improve team building skills. One such skill that is developed is discussed in a Learning Team Toolkit article on Resolving conflict within teams. The article discusses how learning to resolve conflicts is accomplished by following steps. Following the steps also teaches the value of Problem-Based Learning
